Zunka Recipe

Zunka Recipe  is no more a food of villages, it has gained popularity in cities too.

We find the ‘zunka bhakar kendras’ lined up in almost all corners of city.

A last minute recipe which gets prepared in almost 10 minutes.

Traditionally, zunka is best enjoyed with Rice Bhakri, Bajari Bhakri and onions.

A simple preparation made from chickpea flour with the tempering of aromatic hing, clovesmustard.

Zunka Recipe – Ingredients,

Main Ingredients:

1) 1 cup besan

2) 1 cup water

 

Zunka – Ingredients for tempering

Ingredients For Tempering:


1) 2-3 tbsp Oil

2) 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds

3) Pinch of hing

4) Turmeric Powder

5) 7-8 Garlic cloves

 


Other Ingredients:

1) 1 big size Onion

2) 3-4 green chili

3) Chopped Coriander Leaves

4) Salt

Jhunka Recipe

Method:

In a mixing bowl add  besan, water and salt and mix it well till lumps disappear.

Heat oil into kadai and add chopped garlic cloves saute till slightly reddish.

Add mustard seeds, hing, turmeric powder, chopped green chilies and chopped onion.

Saute till onion becomes golden brown.

Once onion is done add chopped coriander leaves that taste

Saute for 10 seconds on medium low heat and add besan mixture.

Stir it to avoid lumps.

Keep on stirring till mixture will become dry.

Cover kadai with lid and let it cook for 10 minute on low flame.

Remove from flame.

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with bhakri or chapati.

Method:
