Upvas Thalipeeth

Upvas Thalipeeth is the fasting version of one of the most famous dishes of Maharashtra – Thalipeeth. Thalipeeth is a pancake/paratha made by flattening a dough ball with palms over a plastic sheet that is placed on a dish, hence it’s called Thalipeeth (Thali = Dish | Peeth = Flattening). This is a farali adaption of the classic thalipeeth where the flour is replaced with Upvas Bhajani (Upvas Flour). This is a filling and healthy breakfast/meal idea even on non-fasting days. This Upvas Thalipeeth tastes as good as the classic Thalipeeth or rather tastes better. Adding yogurt to the dough not only makes this tastier, but also gives essential nutrients, keeping us and our stomach healthy.
