Dhirde can be considered as Maharashtrian Style Dosa. When Dhirde is made with upvas bhajni flour, it is considered as upvas dhirde. Though a fasting recipe, upvas dhirde is very tasty and appetizing. Crushed peanuts add to the flavor of this Dhirde. Add more chillies if you want it to be spicy. This Dhirde tastes best when served with green chutney.

So let’s get started with Upvas Dhirde;
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Total Time: 20 Minutes
Serves for 2.
Ingredients:
1) 2 cup upvas bhajni flour
2) Chopped coriander leaves
3) 2 tbsp peanut crush
4) 2 chopped green chillies
5) ½ tsp cumin seeds
6) Salt to taste
Method:
In mixing bowl add upvas bhajni, chopped coriander leaves, peanut crush, chopped green chillies, cumin seeds and salt.
Add sufficient water to adjust the consistency and make fine batter.
Heat nonstick tava add little oil and pour a medium ladle full batter at the center swirl the spoon clockwise, in circular motion.
Drizzle little oil around it.
Cover with lid and cook on a medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
When it’s done on at one side, flip it to the other side.
Press gently with a flat spatula.
Serve hot with green chutney.
