Stuffed Karela/Stuffed Bitter Gourd Recipes key Ingredients
Ingredients:
1) 2-3 Bitter Gourd
2) 1 Cup grated fresh coconut
3) 1 big sized onion
4) Tamarind Pulp
5) 1/2 cup grated jaggery
6) 4 tsp malvani masala
7) 2 tsp oil
8) Salt as per taste
Stuffed Karela/Stuffed Bitter Gourd Recipes step-by-step procedure
Method:
Wash and peel all bitter gourd cut into half.
Remove out the seeds inside.
Cut it from four sides do not cut into a pieces as we have to fill it with masala.
Boil water add little salt and drop the bitter gourds, cook them till they are soft.
How to prepare masala:In a heated kadai add oil chopped onion and saute till it turned into golden brown add grated fresh coconut and saute till brown
Keep aside to cool
Now add Tamarind Pulp, jaggery, salt, malvani masala mix it well and make paste of it.
Add chopped onion to the paste.
How to proceed further:
Fill and press tightly the prepare paste in the bitter gourd
Remaining paste keep aside.
Heat little oil in a pan, and put the stuffed gourds
Cook them for 2-3 minutes now add remaining paste and little water and let it cook for another 10 minutes on medium low heat.
Taste a little and if needed add little salt for taste.
Serve hot with rice bhakri.
