1) 1 cup green peas
2) 1 cup chopped onion
3) Chopped coriander leaves
4) 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
5) 1 tsp fennel
6) 1/2 tsp turmeric
7) 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
8) Salt as per taste
9) 2 cup all purpose flour
10) Oil to deep fry
How to Make green peas and onion puri?
Green Peas and Onion Puri – Dough for Cover
Take the flour and salt in a mixing bowl and mix well.
Add hot oil and mix it with spoon.
Make smooth and firm dough by adding water little by little.
Knead it well and keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
Mattar Kanda Puri – The filling
Heat oil in a pan add onion and green peas fry for few minutes.
Take away from flame and let it cool
Add coriander leaves, cumin seeds, fennel, turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt mix well and grind mixture and make a crush of it now.
Divide the dough into equal small part.
Roll the balls using a rolling pin and roll into a poori.
Place one portion of the filling mixture in the center of the rolled dough circle.
Pull the edges of the poori and wrap it.
Seal the ends tightly.
Again roll the thick puri.
Mattar Kanda Puri – Deep Fried
Heat the oil in frying pan over medium heat.
Deep fry on low heat in hot oil till golden brown on both sides.
The puri should puff up.
