Rice Vade

Rice Vade in Marathi

Serves for 2


1) 1 cup Boiled Rice

2) ½ cup besan

3) 1 tsp rice flour

4) ½ cup Chopped coriander

5) 1 chopped Onion

6) Ginger and Garlic paste

7) 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

8) Curry Leaves

9) 5-6 Green Chillies

10) Turmeric powder

11) ½ tsp red chilli powder

12) Grated fresh coconut

13) Oil to fry

14) Salt as per taste


In a mixing bowl take boiled rice, besan, chopped onion, ginger garlic paste, coriander, cumin seeds, chopped curry leaves, chopped curry leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and grated fresh coconut and mix well and make soft dough.

Divide into 1 inch equal portions.

Flatten them using like oil. Poke in the center  to make a hole.

Heat oil in kadai and deep fry into heated oil over medium heat.

Fry till it turns into golden brown.

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
