Pineapple Basundi Recipe | Maharashtrian Recipes

Serves for 4.




1) 1 liter Milk

2) 8-10 Pineapple Slices

3) 1/2 cup Sugar

4) Cardamom Powder

5) Almond, Cashew nuts as per your choice


How to make Pineapple Basundi Recipe – Step by Step




Take a heavy bottomed deep pan.



Add milk and boil over medium heat.


Stir while boiling.





Keep a small steel saucer in the pan.



Or keep a long steel spatula diagonally in the pan.



Keep stirring occasionally from the bottom to avoid burning.



 Pineapple Basundi Recipe – Boiling and Reducing Milk to Half



 Reduce the milk till half.


Once milk has reduced add all the dry fruits.


Boil for another 10 minutes more.


Turn off the heat.


Add cardamom Powder.


Cool down to room temperature.


In a non stick pan mix the pineapple and sugar and let it cook for 5-6 minutes no need to add water.




Stir continuously, to dissolve the sugar.



Keep a lid and let it cook for another few minutes on low flame.


Remove from flame and set to cool.


Add milk to the pineapple mixture and mix it well.


Keep in the fridge for 2-3 hours.


Serve chilled.
