Panjiri Recipe | How to Make Panjeeri | Dhaniya Panjiri – Maharashtrian Recipes

Panjiri or Dhaniya Panjeeri Prasad is an alternative to the famous Wheat Panjiri. As Wheat Panjiri is

made of what which cannot be consumed while fasting, Dhaniya Panjeeri is offered to the Devotees on

fast. This Panjiri is especially made during the Farali Vrat of Janmashtami where the devotees break their

fast with the intake of this Panjeeri. This highly nutritious and delicious dish can be made within minutes

to consume. This Panjiri is loaded with proteins, carbs and essential fatty acid. Being an excellent source

of minerals, Coriander helps in regulation growth, boosting digestion, controlling heart rate as well as

blood pressure. Let the elderly enjoy this Panjiri without worrying about their health.

So let’s get started with the Panjiri Recipe;

 

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Total Time: 20 Minutes

 

Ingredients:

1) 1 cup coriander seeds powder

2) 1 cup powdered sugar

3) 1/2 cup grated dry coconut

4) 2 tbsp ghee

5) 4-5 almond

6) 4-5 cashew nuts

7) Cardamom Powder

 

Method:

Heat little ghee and  roast the coconut on medium flame for about 1- 2 minute.

Remove from pan and take into a plate.

In a same pan,  roast cashew and almond slices and  place them into a plate.

Now add remaining ghee and coriander powder  in a pan.

Stirring continuously till you get nice aroma.

Let it cool down.

Take big bowl and place roasted coriander powder, powder sugar, roasted dry fruits, coconut, cardamom powder and mix well.

Your Panjiri is ready to serve for prasad.

6) Your Panjiri is ready to serve for prasad.

Tip:

You can use more ghee if you required. It will taste nice.
