Palak Kobi Vadi Recipe-Crispy

Palak kobi vadi in Marathi:

Palak Kobi Vadi Recipe Key Ingredients


1) Chopped Palak Leaf 3/4 cup

2) 2-3 tsp Rice Flour

3) 1/2 cup chopped Cabbage

4) 2 tsp chopped onion

5) 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves

6) 1 & 1/2 cup besan

7) 2 tsp red chili powder

8) 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

9) Hing a pinch

10) Turmeric powder

11) 1 tsp Sesame Seeds

12) 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

13) 1 tsp Lemon Juice

14) Salt as per taste

15) Oil for frying

Palak Kobi Vadi Step-by-Step methodology


In a mixing bowl, add besan, Rice Flour, chopped palak, cabbge, coriander leaves, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt and mix well.

Add enough water to make a thick batter.

Pour the batter on greased plate.

In a steamer add water and cook till it is come to boil.

If you do not have steamer you can use pressure cooker but do not put whistle.

Stem it for 10-15 minutes on medium heat.

Check with a knife.

If the knife comes out clean, it is cooked.

Allow to cool and cut into square shape or diamond shape as per your choice.

Heat the oil for deep frying in a pan on medium flame.

Slides the vadi pieces.

Fry it till they turns little golden brown and crisp from both the sides.

You can also do shallow fry, if you want less oil.

Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
