Moong Vadyachi Bhaji -Vidarbha Special Recipes

Preparation Time: 15 Minutes

Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Total Time: 45 Minutes

Serves for 3.

Ingredients:

1) 1 cup dry moong Vadya

2) 1 sliced onion

3) 1/2 cup Grated dry coconut

4) 1 tsp poppy seeds

4) 1 cinamom stick

5)  1 bay leaf

6) 2 black cardamom

7) 4-5 black paper

8) 1-2 green cardamom

9) 3 tsp red chilly powder

10) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

11) 2 tbsp oil

12) 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

13) 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

14) Salt to taste

15) Chopped coriander leaves

How to Method:

Take sliced onion, dry coconut, poppy seeds, cinamom stick, bay leaf, black paper, black cardamom and green cardamom, chopped coriander leaves  in a mixture jar and grind to a fine paste.

Heat oil, add mustard seeds, ginger garlic paste and wait till crackle add grinded paste of masala.

Saute it and add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and saute till oil separated from masala.

By the time heat oil and fry moong vade, remove it and keep aside.

Add hot water  to masala and let the water boil for 5 minutes.

Add fried vadi to gravy put lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or till  vadi cook.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve with onion, salad and chapati.
