So, let’s get started with Matkichi Amti Recipe;

 

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 Minutes

Serves for 2.

 

Ingredients:

 

1) 1 cup sprouted Matki

2) 1 tsp red chilly powder

3) 2 tsp tamarind pulp

4) 1 tsp jaggery

5) Cumin Seeds

6) 2 tbsp grated dry coconut

7) 1 tsp Malvani Masala

8) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

9) 1 chopped onion

10) 2 tbsp oil

11) 1/2 tsp mustard seeds

12) Pinch of asafoetida

13) Chopped coriander

14) Salt to taste

 

Method:

 

Heat oil for tempering, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, chopped onion and sauté for few minutes.

Add matki and sauté for 2 – 3 minutes.

Add goda masala, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and sauté it.

Add some water and let the matki is cook.

Dry roast cumin seeds, grated dry coconut and grind it to a fine paste.

Once matki is well cooked, add tamarind pulp, jaggery, salt, coconut paste and 1 cup water.

Let it cook for another 5 minutes.

Garnish with chopped coriander.

Serve hot with chapati or rice.

2) Add matki and sauté for 2 – 3 minutes.

4) Add some water and let the matki is cook.

5) Dry roast cumin seeds, grated dry coconut and grind it to a fine paste.

6) Once matki is well cooked, add tamarind pulp, jaggery, salt, coconut paste and 1 cup water.

7) Let it cook for another 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander.
