Another mango season recipe!

This peculiar mango chutney is made only during the summer season when the mangoes are unripe, in almost every household.

This chutney turns out to be sweet and sour.

Green mango chutney is mouthwatering, irresistible and can be eaten with snacks viz. idli, thepla, pakora, thalipeeth.

The crushing and blending of raw mangoes in mixer grinder gives it a beautiful coarse texture of mango chutney is pleasingly rich.

The best part of this recipe is you can adjust the ingredients asper your requirements of taste.

You can also store this chutney for few days (3-4days when refrigerated).

Ingredients:

1) 1 Raw Mango

2) Grated fresh coconut

3) 2 Green Chillies

4) 1/2 Cup coriander leaves

5) 1/2 inch Ginger

6) Water

7) Salt

 

Ingredients For Tempering:

1) 2 tsp Oil

2) 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

3) Curry leaves

4) Pinch of asafoetida

 

Method:

Wash, peel and cut raw mango, add grated coconut, green chillies, ginger,salt.

Take it in mixer jar add little water and grind it to a smooth paste.

Heat oil for tempering add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves.

Pour this tempering mixture on ground paste.

Chutney is ready to serve.
