Birdyacha Bhaat (Pulao) – Malvani masala & Ingredients,
Ingredients for Rice:
1) 2 Cups good quality basmati rice
2) 1 & 1/2 Cup sprouted Val
3) 2 Onion
4) 1 Tomato
5) 3-4 Ginger Clove
Ingredients for Tempering:
1) 2-3 tsp oil
2) 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
3) 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
4) 5-6 curry leaves
5) Pinch of Hing
1) 2 tsp Malvani masala
2) 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
3) 1/2 tsp Garam masala
4) 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1) Salt as per taste
2) Jaggary as per taste
3) Coriander Leaves
4) Grated Coconut
Birdyacha Bhaat – Rice & Peeled-off vaal,
Wash and soak val for 6 hours.
Sprout the vals and peel it before making rice.
Wash rice and sprouted vals and keep aside.
Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan add little oil and mustard seeds, when the splattering start add cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing.
Add sliced onion and saute till pink add garlic cloves.
Add all spices and saute for a minutes.
Add val, chopped tomato and little grated coconut and saute for 1 minute.
Add rice and hot water and salt.
Vaal Rice (Pulao) – Cooked,
Cover and cook for another 15 minutes on simmer.
Once it done add chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut.
Drizzle a little ghee over the rice while serving.
