This authentic Maharashtrian Kantolichi  Bhaji will help you serve this super-vegetable to your family without hassle as it takes away the bitterness, leaving back only the amazing taste and healing properties.

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time:  15 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Serve for 2.

 

Ingredients: 

 

1) 250 gram Kantoli

2) 2 medium sized onion finely chopped

3) 4 green chilies

4) 1/2 cup grated freshKartuli coconut

5) 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

6) Salt as per taste

7) 2 tbsp Oil for tempering

8) 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

9) 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

 

Method:

 

Soak and wash Kantoli.

Now chop them or slice them into smaller equal sized pieces.

Add these chopped pieces to the bowl.

In kadai heat oil.

Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and chopped green chillies and chopped onion and saute till translucent.

Now add sliced Kantoli. Add salt.

Stir it keep a lid and let it cook for 15 minutes on a medium flame.

once the Kantoli change the colour  cooked properly add grated fresh coconut and mix well.

Taste it and if require add more salt as per your taste.

Serve it with amti  and rice or rice bhakri.

1) Soak and wash Kantoli .

4) Now add sliced Kontoli.  Add salt

5) Stir it, keep a lid and let it cook for 15 minutes on a medium flame.

6) Once the  Kontoli change the colour cooked properly add grated fresh coconut and mix well.

7) Taste it and if require add more salt as per your taste. Serve it with amti  and rice or rice bhakri.
