Ingredients for Bhakri Flour:
1) 1/2 kg Whole Wheat
2) Green whole green moong less than 1/2 kg
Ingredients for Bhakri:
1) 2 Cup Flour
2) 1 tsp coriander Powder
3) 1 tsp Cumin Powder
4) 1 tsp Red chili powder
5) Turmeric Powder
6) 1 Cup Yogurt
7) Salt as per taste
How to Make Kalvyachi Bhakri Recipe – Wheat and Green Moong Bhakri
Combined wheat and green moong and grind together.
Kalvyachi Bhakri Recipe – Kneaded Flour,
Take flour, coriander and cumin powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt and yogurt and start kneading the mixture into a stiff dough by adding little warm water at a time if require.
Shape the dough into 2 inch round balls.
Dust some dry flour on the plate.
Start patting the ball into circle shape by using palm and finger for making bhakri.
Or you can also roll the bhakari on roll pin.
Kalvyachi Bhakri Recipe – Roasted on Hot Tava
On a heated tava put bhakri on high flame.
Be careful while putting the bhakri on tava dusted side should be at upper side.
Spread little water on bhakri.
Flip it and roast from both sides.
Now simmer the flame and put the bhakri directly on the flame to further roast it from both the sides with the help of hand. This technique helps bhakri to puff up nicely.
Repeat the process for the remaining dough.
Serve hot with any yogurt, onion or vegetables.
