Serves for 2.
Ingredients:
1) 2 Cup grated bottle gourd (doodhi)
2) 1 Cup full fat milk
3) 2 tbsp ghee
4) 1/2 cup sugar
5) Dry fruits, almonds and cashew nuts
6) 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Method:
Squeeze out water from grated dudhi completely.
Heat ghee in a pan, add grated dudhi.
Saute it on medium flame.
Add milk, mix well and bring it boil.
When the milk has reduced, add cardamom powder and almonds and cashew nuts.
Reduce flame and cook till all the milk is absorbed.
Add sugar and mix well.
Stir continuously until mixture turns thick. Add food color and mix well.
Turn off flame.
Transfer dudhi halwa to the serving bowl.
Serve hot or chilled.
How to Make Dudhi Halwa
