Doodhichya vadya (Bottle Gourd)

Doodhichya vadya (Bottle Gourd) in Marathi

Time:

30 Minutes,

Serve for 2-3.

Ingredients:

1)  2 Cups grated doodhi (bottle gourd)

2)  1 Cup Besan

3)  2 tsp Rice Flour

4) 1/2 tsp red chilly powder

5) 1/2 cup chopped coriander Leaves

6) 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

7) 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder

8) 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

9) Salt as per taste

10) Oil For Frying

Method:

 

Take grated doodhi, besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, red chilly powder, ginger garlic paste and salt in a mixing bowl and mix it well.

No Need to add water and make thick batter.

Make a role by using your palm.

Apply oil at the base and sides of plate and keep above role on it.

Pressure cook above mixture for 10 -15 minutes without whistle.

You can also use dhokla maker.

Insert a knife and if it comes out clean, the vadi is cooked well.

Let it cool.

Remove it from cooker and cut into a slices.

Deep fry or shallow fry in hot oil till crisp and browned.
