Cauliflower Masala/ Gobi Masala Recipe | Maharashtrian Recipes

Cooking time : 20 Minutes

Serves for 2.

 

Ingredients:

1) Pav Kg (1/4 Kg ) Cauliflower

2) 5-6 Garlic Cloves

3) 2 tsp Poppy Seeds

4) 10-12 Cashewnuts

5) 1 inch Ginger

6) 2 Onion

7) 1 Tomato

8) 2 Green chilly

9) 2 tsp coriander and cumin powder

10) 1 Red chilly powder

11) Turmeric powder

12) 1 cup Yogurt

13) Oil

14) Salt as per taste

15) Chopped coriander leaves

How to make Cauliflower Masala – Recipe with Pictures

 

Method:

Cut Cauliflower into big size pieces. Wash it and put them in hot and salted water  for few minutes.

Soak cashew nuts and poppy seeds for 15 minutes and grind them to fine paste.

Heat oil in a pan add chopped onion and fry till they become golden brown.

Gobi Masala Recipe – Ginger-garlic and cashew Paste

Add ginger garlic and green chilly paste and saute for a few minutes.

Gobi Masala – Yogurt for the recipe

Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder and cumin coriander powder and yogurt and again saute for few minutes.

Be careful  while adding yogurt simmer the flame.

Add cashew nuts and poppy seeds paste, chopped tomato, cauliflower and salt.

Add a cup of water to it and boil again cook for few minutes till everything gets blended well.

Serve with chapati or plain dal rice.
