Varicha Bhat is a traditional Maharastrian fasting food that is easy to cook and keeps hunger at bay. This delicious Bhagar is made of samo seeds that has great amount of digestible fibers, high nutritional content and excellent nourishment which make its very healthy and fit for all age groups. Bhagar or Vari Tandul a traditional food for fasting. Specially on Ekadashi we all enjoy full meal of Vari Tandulcha bhat, Danyachi Amti, Upavasachi Batata Bhaji and Curd it all together taste awesome. The Vrat Ke Chawal is made using very few ingredients and within minutes. Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Cook Time: 20 Miutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes.

Serves for 4.

 

Ingredients:

1) 2 cup bhagar

2) 5 cup water

3) Salt as per taste

 

Method:

Wash bhagar.

Boil water,  add washed bhagar and salt mix it well.

Let it cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.

Now keep a lid and let it cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.

It’s ready to serve.

Serve with danyachi amti, upavasachi batata bhaji, curd.
