Besan Ladoo or Besan ke Laddu are sweet balls made from Chickpea flour and

Sugar. The Ghee adds the flavor as well as a rich texture to the Ladoos.

Roasted Semolina or Rava can also be added to the mixture which gives a

crunch to the ladoos. But this Besan Ladoo recipe is of the soft textured ladoos

that melts in mouth. The nutty aroma of these besan ke laddu can alone make

your mouth water. The secret to making perfect besan ke ladoos is that the

chickpea flour must be roasted to perfection. The taste of raisins with every

bite, makes this even more delicious.

So let’s get started with the Besan Laddu Recipe:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

 

Ingredients:
1) 2 cup besan(coarsely ground)

2) 1/2 cup ghee

3) 1 cup Powdered sugar

4) 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

5) 1 tbsp raisins

 

Method:

 

Dry roast the besan in a kadai for 10 minutes on slow flame.

Keep stirring continuously, be careful besan should not burn.

Melt the ghee and keep aside.

After 10 minutes add melted ghee to the roasted besan and roast for 5 more minutes.

Once you get a nutty aroma, remove from pan and keep aside now add powdered sugar and mix well.

Add cardamom powder and then let it cool down to room temperature.

Add raisins,  mix and make  besan ladoos and store them in an air tight container.

 

How to make besan ladoo step by step with images:

3) Once you get a nutty aroma, remove from pan and keep aside now add powdered sugar and mix well.

4) Add cardamom powder and then let it cool down to room temperature. Add raisins,  mix and make  besan ladoos and store them an air tight container.

Tips: 

Do not use normal besan to make this laddus.

Roast the chana dal in heated pan.

If is in less quantity you can also grind it at home in a mixer.

Chana dal should be coarsely ground. It will not stick in mouth while eating.
