1) 2 Onion
2) 1 Small cup Besan
3) A pinch of Asafoetida
4) Chopped green chilies
5) Salt as per taste
6) 2 tsp ghee
7) 1 cup whole wheat flour
8) Coriander Leaves
9) Oil or Ghee to grace the roti
How to Make Onion Roti?
How to Make Onion Roti – Mixture of Onion and Besan
Finely Chop onion.
Heat pan and add ghee and chopped onion.
Stir it until translate.
Once done add asafoetida, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, salt and stir it.
Remove mixture in a plate and Keep aside.
In a same heated pan add besan and saute until the besan give nice fragrance.
Add little water.
Remove the pan from stove and add mixture to above onion mixture.
Mix it well.
Let it cool completely.
Mix wheat flour and salt.
Add little water and begin to knead the dough.
Make a medium size balls from the dough.
Take a ball roll into 3-4 inch diameter disc on a dusted board.
Add onion besan mixture and bring together all the edges of the dough.
Join them in the center and press it.
Sprinkle some flour and roll into a roti.
How to Make Onion Roti – Shallow Fried on Tawa
Heat tava and fry the roti from both the sides drizzle little ghee or butter and cook.
Onion Roti – Served Hot.
