Raw Banana Pakora are the indian version of crispy fried Banana Fritters made with raw bananas. These crispy Banana fritters are not only delicious but also easy to make! Takes just few minutes for preparation but is sure to leave its flavor lingering for long time. Raw Banana is a good source of Resistance Starch that works more like fiber helping reduce blood cholesterol levels. A rich source of Vitamin B6, these delicious green bananas help in formation of hemoglobin as well as controls blood sugar level.

So let’s get started with Raw Banana Pakora Recipe;

 

Preparation Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time:  10 Minutes

Total Time: 20 M inutes

Serves for 2.

 

Ingredients:


1) 2 Medium sized Green Banana

2) 1 cup chickpea flour

3) 1 tsp rice flour

4) Turmeric Powder

5) ½ tsp red chilli powder

6) Pinch of baking soda

7) Salt as per taste

8) Oil for deep frying

 

Method:

Peel Banana and cut into thin slices.

Soak them in salt water for 5-10 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix all ingredients like chickpea flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and baking powder.

Add enough water to make batter. The batter should neither be very thick nor too runny in consistency. Keep on stirring the batter so the lumps cannot be formed.

Heat oil in pan for deep frying.  Drain water from Banana slices.

Dip the banana slices into the prepared batter and deep fry them in hot oil till it turn into light brown colour.

Serve hot with chutney.
